The good: The smoked pecan ribs were delicious. They were sticky and smoked. BBQ sauce was spicy. I like spicy, but my mom doesn't. I think it should have come with 2 kinds. The greens may be the best greens I have ever had. Lots of pork and also spicy. I added jalapeño corn bread to my greens and it was spectacular. The Mac and cheese with the saltine cracker crumb was cheesy. Reminds me of Velveta or a great American cheese. The Bad: Not bad, but I was sad I didn't get a large greens. Next time this will be my meal with cornbread.

First time I have been to this restaurant, even though it is right by my house. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. They have one awards for their fried chicken and they are displayed around the restaurant. They serve the entire menu. We started off with fried pickles. These were delicious and come with a dill ranch sauce. It's not your typical ranch, but it's different and delicious. I ordered the fried chicken. The pieces were small and the chicken was definitely moist like it was marinated in buttermilk. The flavor was pretty good but not my favorite. I got the cream corn as a side and wished it was a little bit more creamier. The jalapeño cornbread was delicious and would definitely recommend that. My friend got wings they offered smoked or fried so she got fried, but, it had a different flavor almost tangy and it was definitely smoked first and then fried. I would come back for the wings. They have what looks like a homemade red hot sauce and I really liked it. Madi was our server and she was great. They have a bar area in the middle and several tables inside. Overall, I would come back to try new things.

One of the best Southern Highlands neighborhood restaurants. My husband and I eat here quite regularly. We also always bring out of town visitors to this restaurant. Always exceptional food and service. The restaurant is beautiful and provides a comforting and welcoming atmosphere. There's an extensive bourbon bar. Also cute chicken decorating touches. The food is so delicious! The standouts include the moist and flavorful brisket, perfectly fried and executed chicken sandwich and brisket burger, and deviled eggs with candied jalapeños. And don't get me started on the tasty cocktails! Can't go wrong with a classic old fashioned. The staff here are always super friendly and provide great service. Highly recommend!

Very cozy atmosphere with delicious southern food. I tried the brisket platter which included a choice of biscuit or cornbread and one side. The server was so nice, but because of how busy they were service was extremely slow. It took forever to even get seated when there were tons of empty tables. The booth they sat us in had a broken seat and it wasn't the most comfortable. Overall good experience here!

Delicious and a legit chef led atmosphere. Incredibly fresh and sumptuous food. We didn't love the seats near the expedite station. Check was a little slow but worth the wait.

From the moment me + my family walked in to the time we left the staff was friendly, efficient and had a great vibe! Our server was Daniel, he took care of everything and provided a relaxed and fun experience. Now let's discuss the food! I ordered the ribs, mac n cheese, greens + cornbread - sweet tea as my beverage. Everything was amazing! (I'm sure y'all know how tough it is to have EVERYTHING on your plate taste good!) I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to everyone! Thank you Mama Bird staff for a great dinner.

Fantastic brunch! The chicken and waffles were PERFECTION! The waffles were soo buttery and the breading on the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. 5/5 ! A must try if you're a fan of chicken and waffles. The smoked brisket hash was phenomenal, 4/5 on this only because some parts of it was a bit too burnt. The texture of the biscuits was really nice a gritty on the outside, soft and fluffy and the inside - just a bit too salty with the seasoning on top. Blown away by the jalepeño ginger beer! WOW, this stuff is addicting. Fantastic service! The hostess and server were very hospitable. I dig the southern decor here. The AC cranked up and too cold for me, so I kept my puff jacket on during the meal. I would recommend to the restaurant to dial the AC down a notch for a cozier vibe. All in all, a great dining experience and I would definitely return again for the fantastic southern food and hospitality.

Service: 5 Stars Ambience & Cleanliness: 5 Stars We had brunch and lunch items and deviled eggs as an appetizer (They left the bacon off two half's so I could enjoy them). Normally I stay away from fried food as it rips my stomach apart, but since I don't eat meat there were two choices for me: the catfish sandwich and a jackfruit dish. Our waitress was kind enough to let me try the sauce for the latter dish. It was a bit on the sweet side for me so opted for the catfish. I had a hunch that this being a restaurant that felt Southern to the T, they would be able to do the catfish proud. I also asked them to deconstruct my sandwich as I don't like anything soggy. I was not disappointed! The vegetables and slaw were a crisp and delicious counterpoint to the toasted and buttered bun (perfectly crisp where it should be) and the catfish was perfectly deep fried and NOT oily or soggy. The fish was tender and fluffy. I also had Sun Tea with raw sugar and a lemon slice on ice. It was good and not at all bitter (as many instant tea drinks usually are). I have had grits many times and each time it was a really "flat note" and my stomach always rebelled afterwards, but looking over at one of the dishes, I realized they looked different and everyone was raving about g about them. So I took a chance and it was heaven: super light smooth and fluffy with a hint of white grated cheddar cheese folded in. These people pulled out all the stops to make sure our needs were met!

We stopped here on our way out of Vegas. This place is located in a shopping center next to a grocery store. So lots of parking & busy. We were seated right away. Decor is very farmhouse but not in the trendy tacky way & they play country music. It smells so good when you enter & you can see into the kitchen. We ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs & pitmaster scramble With coffee. Coffee was amazing, they do offer coffee mate creamer but we got a glass milk instead for the coffee. Was a little surprised they didn't have half and half. The chicken fried steak was so good. Really crispy outside and tender meat, the gravy here is amazing. Pitmaster scramble is a great meal. The eggs were soft and the cheese sauce oh my good, idk how they make that sauce but it was delicious, didn't get all congealed either. The potatoes are so crispy with the perfect amount of a season salt. Lima beans and corn are a nice addition to the scramble as well. The meats in this were delicious, I do wish there was more meat but all in all it was fantastic and would order it again. The biscuit tasted good too. Not your typical southern biscuit but I enjoyed something new. None of the food was salty or greasy, we didn't leave there feeling all sluggish either. Watermelon was tasty, no mushy pieces and very cold. The wait for the food wasn't terrible but there was a wait. Lots of to go orders as we waited for our food. This is a great spot for some southern comfort food.
